Competitive Priorities are the critical operational dimensions that a process or supply chain must have to satisfy the present and future customers of the business. Doing this allow companies to implement their goals by setting them up in the right direction. The four main groups are Time, Quality, Flexibility, and Cost.





Time
Rock ‘n’ Joe makes sure customers are in and out instantly. Located right at the Union Train Station, the majority of customers coming in will naturally be people catching the train to work, or students on their way to class that needs a quick cup of coffee. Fulfilling their orders as fast as possible gives more time for customers to get where they need to be and not be late. With the technology available today, preparing coffee is faster and more efficient than ever. Rock ’n’ Joe uses automatic coffee machines which is a machine that grinds, tamps, and extracts the coffee at the touch of a button.




Quality
Everyone appreciate great coffee and food; high quality ingredients must be used to provide them the great taste and consistency they can expect to get when they come back. The coffee at Rock ’n’ Joe are made from high quality coffee beans called #1 Arabica coffee beans. There are 5 levels of Arabica Coffee and #1 is the best. The result is a superior quality, color, texture, tasty coffee. The water for the coffee is filtered so nothing but the purest water is used, great coffee starts with great water. To satisfy most customers, the palate of hundreds of people was used to determine the mix of pastries and sandwiches with high quality ingredients.




Flexibility
Located right at the Union Train Station and across Kean University, it’s by far the most convenient place for commuters to get breakfast and a cup of coffee. The Starbucks located inside Barnes and Noble is a 5-minute walk from the station, Rock ‘n’ Joe is obviously more convenient and safer bet to get coffee and get to the train on time. Rock ‘n’ Joe also opens at 6 am for the early commuters, unlike Starbucks which opens at 8 am.



Cost
Compared to big franchises and other local coffee shops, Rock ‘n’ Joe is the least expensive with the quality still top notch.
